วันที่ 26 กันยายน 2561 - นายวีระศักดิ์ ฟูตระกูล รัฐมนตรีช่วยว่าการกระทรวงการต่างประเทศได้พบหารือ ทวิภาคีกับนาย Vakhtang Makharoblishvili รัฐมนตรีช่วยว่าการกระทรวงการต่างประเทศจอร์เจีย ในช่วงการประชุมสมัชชาสหประชาชาติ สมัยที่ 73 ณ นครนิวยอร์ก โดยไทยและจอร์เจียเห็นพ้องที่จะกระชับความสัมพันธ์และส่งเสริมความร่วมมือระหว่างกันให้แน่นแฟ้นยิ่งขึ้น ผ่านกลไกการประชุมปรึกษาหารือทางการเมืองระหว่างกระทรวงการต่างประเทศสองฝ่าย (Political Consultations) การจัดทำแผนความร่วมมือเพื่อการพัฒนาไทย-จอร์เจีย ระยะ 3 ปี และการแลกเปลี่ยนการเยือนในระดับต่างๆ ระหว่างกัน นอกจากนี้ รัฐมนตรีทั้งสองฝ่าย ยังได้ร่วมลงนามความตกลงว่าด้วยการยกเว้นการตรวจลงตราสำหรับผู้ถือหนังสือเดินทางทูตและราชการ หรือหนังสือเดินทางพิเศษ ในโอกาสนี้ด้วย

 

On 26 September 2018, H.E. Mr. Virasakdi Futrakul, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs, had a bilateral meeting with H.E. Mr. Vakhtang Makharoblishvili, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Georgia, on the sidelines of the 73rd session of the UNGA in New York. Both sides expressed interest in fostering bilateral cooperation through the Political Consultations, the 3-year Joint Plan of Action in the Field of Development, and exchanges of visits. The Deputy Foreign Ministers also signed the Agreement between the Government of the Kingdom of Thailand and the Government of Georgia on Visa Exemption for Holders of Diplomatic and Official/Service Passports.
