CAAT Announcement on conditions for international flight permit to Thailand and registration to Enter Thailand

As per the latest announcement of Civil Aviation Authority of Thailand (CAAT) on the conditions for international flight permit to Thailand effective from 1 July 2020 at 00.01 hrs.

The Embassy would like to further inform on the following

  1. Aircrafts that have received pre-approval from authorities in Thailand are permitted to enter Thailand such as a planned repatriation flight arranged by the Embassy (according to article 1 (5) of the CAAT announcement). In this regard, a commercial flight may not be permitted to fly to Thailand at the moment.  
     
  2. Persons listed under article 2 of the CAAT announcement, for example, foreign spouses or family members of Thai national and/or foreigners with a valid work permit, are allowed to travel to Thailand
     
  3. All foreigners are required to apply for a Certificate of Entry (COE) before travelling to Thailand and they have to make a reservation at Alternative State Quarantine (ASQ) facility, which is accredited hotels by Thai Government, for a period of 14 days upon their arrival to Thailand at their own expenses (ASQ is not a home quarantine). All foreign arrivals are advised to book the room directly at the intended-to-stay facility.

            In the case of a foreign spouse travelling together with a Thai spouse and wish to stay at the same facility during the quarantine period, it is advised that they book rooms
            at ASG facility at their own expenses.

            Please be informed that the COE processing time may vary and it is recommended that applicant submits all required documents at least 7 - 14 days prior to the intended date of                  departure.

  1. The Embassy plans to arrange a repatriation flight to Thailand leaving Istanbul on 17 July 2020 and arriving Bangkok on 18 July 2020. If you are eligible to enter Thailand and have already submitted the application for COE, you may register for the flight.
