On 15 January 2014 at the Thai Ambassador's residence, H.E. Mr. Tharit Charungvat, Ambassador of Thailand, gave an exclusive interview for “Diplomatika”, new TV programme of TRT Türk hosted by Ms. Meral Tosun. The programme features updates on development of as well as interviews of foreign ambassadors in Turkey on the prospects on bilateral relations between respective countries with Turkey and the history, art and culture of the invited ambassadors’ home countries.

H.E. the Ambassador gave information on Thai history, civilization, art and culture. He also gave background about kick boxing or Muay Thai which originated in Thailand and becomes popular in the world including Turkey.

Thai cuisine was also highlighted during the interview. H.E. Mr. Charungvat said that the unique and rich flavours of Thai food as well as its culinary art contribute to its global popularity. H.E. the Ambassador also showcased the art of Thai cuisine to the anchor with the demonstration of Luk-Chub making, the most intricate Thai sweet made from soy bean paste and molded into the shape of various fruits in miniature size, and vegetable and fruit carving for garnishment.
