On 7 February 2014, Mrs Vithu Charungvat, spouse of H.E. Mr. Tharit Charungvat, Ambassador of Thailand to the Republic of Turkey, met Mrs. Özleyiş Topbaş, spouse of H.E. Mr. Kadir Topbaş, Mayor of Istanbul, at Istanbul’s Women’s Coordination Center.

Mrs. Topbaş led Mrs. Vithu on a Cente tour of which she serves as the President. The Center aims at extending helps for women and families in need totaled around 62,000 families in Istanbul. The Center also provides capacity building workshops and seminars for women, seeking to enable them skills and psychological strengths for a better living condition.

This meeting follows the meeting between H.E. the Ambassador of Thailand and H.E. the Mayor of Istanbul on 29 January 2014 where both agreed to have their spouses get to know each other.
