On 9 January 2014, His Excellency Mr. Tharit Charungvat, Ambassador of Thailand to the Republic of Turkey, paid a courtesy call to Mr. Ibrahim Korkmaz, Head of Thailand - Turkey Parliamentarian Friendship Group at the Turkish Grand National Assembly.

      Ambassador Charungvat informed his intention to forge closer relations with Turkish parliamentarians and viewed that the Thailand - Turkey Parliamentarian Friendship Group is a key connecting bridge that not only enhances political relations between both nations, but can serve as a bridge for Thailand to connect with other parts of Turkish society. Mr. Korkmaz shared Ambassador Charungvat's views and informed his intention to pay an official visit to his parliamentarian counterpart in Thailand at an agreeable time for both sides.
