On 31 July 2013, H.E. Mr. Rathakit Manathat, Ambassador of Thailand to the Republic of Turkey, hosted a dinner for the Thailand women’s national volleyball team at his residence.

The team was led by Mr. Kiattiphong Rachatakriangkrai or Coach Aod, together with the national volleyball players and the team staff. The 17 team members came to Ankara to compete in the FIVB World Grand Prix 2013 in Ankara against Algeria, Japan and Turkey on 2-4 August 2013.

In the same occasion, H.E. the Ambassador gives a blessing to the Thai national team and wish them the best of luck to bring victory back to Thailand. He is going to support the team in person at the upcoming games.

The FIVB World Grand Prix 2013 will be held at the Ankara Baskent Volleyball Court in Ankara on 2-4 August 2013 as follows:

Friday 2 August 2013, 17.00 hours: Thailand-Japan

Saturday 3 August 2013, 17.00 hours: Thailand-Turkey

Sunday 4 August 2013, 14.00 hours: Thailand-Algeria

The Embassy would like to invite all Thai residents in Turkey to give mental support to the Thailand women’s national volleyball team during this important event. The Embassy will also constantly update the matches’ results on its website.
