On 18 November 2019, Her Excellency Mrs. Phantipha Iamsudha Ekarohit, Ambassador of the Kingdom of Thailand, together with General Viddhavat Rajatanun, Chief Ombudsman of Thailand, and Mr. Raksagecha Chaechai, Secretary-General of the Office of Ombudsman of Thailand, participated in the Opening Ceremony of the 2nd International Ombudsman Conference On Principle of Good Administration and Ombudsman, organized by the Ombudsman Institution of Turkey. 

The Conference started with the welcoming remarks of the Chief Ombudsman Mr. Şeref Malkoç, Director of the Central Finance and Contracts Unit, within the Ministry of Treasury and Finance of the Republic of Turkey Dr. Hakan Ertürk and Ms. Eleftheria Pertzinidou, Deputy Head of the Delegation of the European Union to Turkey. The Opening Ceremony was held at Dolmabahçe Palace with speeches by the Chief Ombudsman Mr. Şeref Malkoç, the speaker of the Grand National Assembly of Turkey Mr. Mustafa Şentop, President of the Court of Cassation of the Republic of Turkey Mr. İsmail Rüştü Cirit and was concluded with the President of Republic of Turkey, H.E. Recep Tayyip Erdoğan’s address.

Afterwards, Her Excellency the Ambassador hosted Lunch in honour of the Chief Ombudsman of Thailand and his Delegation, with the attendance of Mr. Refik Cokcek, Honorary Counsul General of the Kingdom of Thailand in Istanbul and the officials of the Royal Thai Embassy, Ankara.
